Even though we’ve seen similar in Alaska, these twin glaciers are still awe inspiring and hold the quintessence of crystal blue tints throughout the massive block of ice. However, good weather is the exception in this area of the country and due to high winds, we were unable to heli-hike up to the top of the glaciers.
On the other hand, it saved us $450 each and we were still able to do the free hike up to the face of the glacier and appreciate its beauty close up. These free activities are like rare gems in this tourist trap of a country!
