About a mile off shore on the Windward side of the island, in the middle of Kaneohe Bay and surrounded by beautiful coral reef sits a natural sandbar formation. Most people go out there on a boat, but what fun is that? Depending on the tide it can be anywhere from waste high, like it was here, or completely exposed, producing a little beach. Great views of the Ko’Olau mountain range in the distance. Great coral reefs all around you, but limited visibility and not a lot of sea life in general relative to other areas of the island.
