Manali and I searched tirelessly for authentic food, opting for street vendors if we could find them amidst the chaotic intertwines that are the streets of Shanghai. We were lucky to actually find one we set out to locate on Wujiang Lu. Victim to gentrification, this corridor of food vendors is not what it once was, but still attracts a strong clientele seeking the best street fare in the city.
Near the Old Shanghai gate, adjacent to the Yu Garden and Bazaar we also stumbled on a street scape littered with food proprietors of a more local appeal. Definitely a must experience during your stay in Shanghai!

In fact, there are many streets foods in shanghai. All you need to do is to hunt and hunt and hunt…like a hunter.
